This made me think… So, suppose you had a $15,000 Gibson ES-175 once owned by Kenny Burrell. How would you sell it?

eBay, unfortunately for me, is no longer an option, as my account was recently hacked, and their response wasn’t particularly comforting. Suffice it to say that I had to cancel my account because the hacker they “blocked” kept right on sending fake emails in my name through eBay’s messaging system.

Craig’s List is another option, but then you have to meet strangers in parking lots. The last time I sold something on Craig’s List, I wound up with 2 very wealthy Asian kids in my house, one a “manager” for the other, some guy completely stoned to the bejesus (so much so he couldn’t speak–must’ve been good stuff). The manager did buy the guitar, however…

Then there’s consignment… Ugh, it’s a pain in the ass, no?
