USA Today has a new video interview with Ed about his new $3000 EVH Wolfgang. This guitar is unique in the sense that it’s been road tested by Ed on his 2007-2008 tour and allegedly incorporates many of the things that Ed has learned about guitars over his long career.
And then this:
And there were those Ed-isms employed to try to explain his complaints, if poorly. “Ed was always saying, ‘It needs to sound more like nut butter,’ ” Bruck says.
Nut butter? Please remind me to wash my hands after playing one of these.
Eddie looks and sounds like he has one (and most of the second) foot in the grave. I’d like to see Eddie and Keith Richards side by side. perhaps we could use those images to discourage kids from drinking.
I know, it’s terrible. According to the accompanying article, he’s doing much better now. I hope it’s true. Oddly, his brother Alex quit drinking completely after their alcoholic father died years ago. It just never took with Ed. At least that’s the story.
