About
So, what is Guitarbalooga? Guitarbalooga is a light-hearted celebration of the culture of guitar and rock music with a little bit of jazz thrown in to keep things respectable.
And, who is Guitarbalooga? My name is Spencer Seidel (Spence). I’ve been playing guitar and studying music for 25 years. From 1990-1992 I went to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, made some great friends, and learned jazz harmony. I grew up on a steady diet of classic rock, and although I’ve spent some time studying traditional jazz, I always end up where I belong, listening to and playing good ol’ fashioned rock.
Guitarbalooga is a labor of love. I pay my hosting company by posting ads, being an Amazon affiliate, and selling guitar software. So, if you like Guitarbalooga, click on something, or become a fan of Guitarbalooga on Facebook!
Here is a more-or-less random collection of stuff I’ve written and recorded over the years, just so you can hear where I’m coming from. I’ve been recording as a “band” under the name The Blythe Project since about 1991. The modern era tunes include Tune J, Hot for Teacher, I’m the One, and Tune I.
